Murchison Falls National Park is trully one of Ugandas best with a good variety of game and fantastic scenery. Our tours in particular are great value for money as you see much more including the Kuruma Falls which are breathtaking.

Murchison is by far our most popular tourist destination with viewing the falls as a unique experience. We offten run two or three a week and normally stay at the Red Chilli Campsite at Parra however we are now building a camp and lodge on the northern boundary of the park where we will be able to operate several tours at a time.

Mostly tours to Murchison Falls are three day trips however will our new development there will be much more to do and see. We also incorporate Murchison Falls into out longer ten day tours around western Uganda

We are happy to customize our tours to suit your personal prefences.

Day 2. Get up at 6am & have breakfast cornflakes or weetbix or fruit salad with yogurt plus scrambled eggs bacon and toast with tea or coffee. Everybody must be on time as it is best to catch the first ferry across the River Nile and do the game drive as early as possible. We can cross at a later time at the ferry goes back and forth most of the day but the game viewing is always best early.

The giraffe are a really spectacular site as you travel across the park towards Lake Albert where you will see hundreds of hippos lazing in the waters. We often find a group of lions lying around after a long night hunting. During the game drive at about 10.30am we have an early lunch near the lakeside with views across to Nebbi district and the Congo. The game drive normally finishes at about 11.30pm when we drop the ranger at the ferry crossing and then drive up to the Parra Lodge where you can buy a soda or beer and relax near their beautiful pool. At around 2 pm we drive back down to the ferry crossing and wait for the boat up to the falls.

At 2.30pm we get on the boat for the trip up the river where you are sure to see many hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffalos, bush pigs, and monkeys. When the boat gets to the falls you get out and walk up to the top of the falls. The scenery whilst walking up is great with fantastic views of the falls. When you get to the top you may sit for some time and take in the beautiful scenery while waiting for the sun to set over the River Nile. Meanwhile the driver will have driven around to the top of the falls where he will meet the ranger and walk down to the bottom of the falls to meet you. After seeing the sunset over the falls travel to Pabidi Forest where you will be staying in four bed dormitories or if they are fully booked we drive back to Red Chilli for another night.

Day 3. Get up at 6.15am and have breakfast then at 7am head off to trek the chimps in the forest. The guides are fantastic and have a good knowledge of the forest with many stories to tell. After returning to camp you will have an early lunch before traveling back to Kampala.

Cost includes all meals, transport, park entrance for two days, game drive, boat trip, and walk up the path next to the falls and nature walk in Pabidi Forest to trek the chimpanzee. Students who qualify for a park discount will have that discount refunded.
