Safari to Kidepo Valley & Murchison Falls National Park

Kidepo Valley National Park is ranked among Africa’s finest safari wilderness, this park combines all that is found in other parks but what makes it unique are the Cheetahs and Ostriches flightless birds, surrounded by a nomadic culture similar to that of the Masai of Kenya and Tanzania. With plenty of water holes game viewing both on the drive and even on the porch of your lodging is spectacular.

Day 1: Travel to Kidepo Valley National Park

have breakfast at the hotel/lodge and you will carry with you packed lunch after transfer to Kidepo valley national park through the plain lands of Acholi and partly Karamoja area, on the way to the park we will stopover at Karenge to see the lokajong caves in Karenge community wildlife area which is an important habitats for wildlife migrating outside the park in search for pasture and water during the dry season availing you the chance to take photos as you may wish and if you want to take own visit to Uganda.

The area gives visitors magnificent scenery of the surrounding Nyangea Napore and Rom Mountain ranges. And after proceed to the park for night stay and meals at any of the following accommodation options; Apoka safari lodge, Ngamoru Camp, and Uganda wildlife Authority Banda. For the campers the park has got two camping sites well facilities with water and clean latrines and you are provided with ranger guide to protect you and make you stay in the park safe.

Day 2: Explore Kidepo Valley National Park

Ready early morning for breakfast, catch the sun rise behind the mountain before flooding the valley then off for the game drive to enjoy sightings of herds of elephants, cape buffaloes, giraffes, lions, all these in a clear view for photography and plenty more lunch at place of accommodation. In the afternoon we are joined by an expert ranger guide for a nature walk to explore the park on foot away from the steel clad of safari car sharing his knowledge of the Eco – system and also bring you closure to the animals will taking your shots. Overnight stay and meals, Accommodation options include: Apoka (lodge facility), Ngamoru newly opened (tented camp facility)

Day 3: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Leave in the morning with packed lunch for game drive to the Northern back around the Buligi game tracks with trained guide is fantastic way to see and photograph the wide range of animals in the Nile valley. Visitors will marvel at herds of buffaloes, dozens of elephants, warthogs and towering giraffes, along with bushbucks, reed buck, duikers, Uganda Kobs, Oribi and unusual-looking hartebeest. Our guide will have an idea where the lions could be hiding and leopards at dusk. You will return to the lodge/hotel for lunch before we take you on afternoon Boat cruise to the bottom of the falls and night over at either Paraa safaris lodge, Nile safaris lodge fort Murchison, Murchison River lodge and Red chilli Rest camp or bush camping.

Day 4: Travel Back to Kampala

Transfer back to Kampala with stopover at the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for Rhino trekking and lunch break after we proceed to the park via the Top of the falls for hiking and it’s these falls where the name of the national park is derived.
